RevLite Q-Switch Laser - Introduction
The RevLite laser facial is at the forefront of cosmetic laser technology as a quick and very effective method to freshen your complexion. By encouraging your skin’s own collagen, improves skin tone and texture, reduces fine lines and pore size as well as brightens and lightens your complexion.
The Revlite lasers operating wavelength has also been shown to be an effective treatment option for permanent hair reduction.
RevLite Q-Switch Laser - How it works
The Revlite Photoacoustic Technology Pulse (PTP) has a high penetration that pulses molecules instead of heating them, forcing them to shatter. This stimulates the fibroblasts within your skin which in turn stimulates collagen as part of its healing process. The result is a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, decreased pore size, improved skin tone and texture.
RevLite Q-Switch Laser - Treatments
What happens
during the procedure?
During
this treatment, the laser is passed over your skin about 4 to 6
times. Patients have previously described it as a tingling
sensation. Anesthesia is generally not required, however, you
may
request numbing cream depending on your comfort levels.
How long does the
procedure take?
The
procedure is very quick depending, of course, on the size of the area
being treated. Generally a full face treatment only takes
between
6 to 10 minutes.
How long will my recovery
be and what can I expect?
Immediately
following the treatment, you may experience slight redness or
swelling. This is, however, only minor and generally
dissipates
after an hour of so. Clients are typically able to cover any
redness with mineral make-up and carry on with their daily
activities. The treating clinician may also suggest that you
avoid sun exposure for a period of time after your treatment.
RevLite Q-Switch Laser - Results
As this treatment stimulates your own collagen production, you will experience results that continue to improve over a period of time. Your clinician may recommend a series of treatments (typically 4 to 6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart). After this initial course of treatments, you may like to have ‘top up’ treatments every now and then to maintain results.
RevLite Q-Switch Laser - Safety
The Revlite uses up to 60 per cent more power that previous laser technologies but has maintained the same high degree of patient safety and comfort. So, in the hands of a well trained professional, such as the clinicians at the Facial Rejuvenation clinic, there is very little chance of side effects or complications. Furthermore, the Revlite may be used on all skin types – even darker skins.
