Restoring and repairing your skin is now achieveable with this new breakthrough resurfacing laser!

Until recently laser resurfacing treatment was very invasive with a down side of pain and a long recovery period. Most people require three to four weeks off work, with prolonged rednedss for many months. Now there is another alternative.

This second generation Fraxel™1500 laser offers the fastest, most effective results seen so far, with fewer side effects. After several years of study, more than 1,000 experienced physicians worldwide have now incorporated Fraxel™ treatments into their practices.  We are happy to be one of the very few in Australia.

What is Fraxel™ 1500?
The Fraxel™ 1500 is a completely new skin resurfacing technology providing a gently, non-invasive approach. This treatment is now the key preferred method to treat acne scarring, pigmentation and the signs of ageing.

How does resurfacing help my skin?
This non-invasive procedure is safe and effective in treating:

  1. Acne scarring - suited to any skin type (including Asian, African and dark-toned skins which have previously had poor results)
  2. brown / age spots on face and hands
  3. signs of ageing including wrinkles, pigmentation (melasma) and enlarged pores
  4. sun damage on and off the face

Can I get the same results with other skin resurfacing?
The older resurfacing technology takes more treatment and has more discomfort and downtime.  Some older technologies also create a less natural appearance; our experience indicates that the Fraxel™ 1500 is the best possible option available.

What makes this treatment different?
Thousands of tiny, but deep columns of microthermal intensive treatments penetrate the skin, deep into the dermis, eliminating the epidermal layer, along with the old and pigmented cells. The cells surrounding the treatment zone are unaffected, allowing the skin to heal faster and reducing post treatment redness. This is because only a fraction of the skin is treated in one session – about 20 - 25%. With this healing, the damaged cells are eliminated by natural exfoliation and are replaced by healthy new and tighter tissue.

Is this the only treatment I need?
The best way we have found to successfully approach skin rejuvenation, is to use a combination of treatments. Achieving a synergy of results, using both the best combination of anti-oxidant based skin therapies; employing professional facial therapies and home based treatments; as well as using a range of light based therapies using resurfacing equipment. Depending on the condition we are addressing, the treatment plan will include all or some of these resources.

How many treatments do I need?
Because the fractional treatment addresses around 20% of skin surface at each treatment, 5 treatments are recommended to gain the optimal result.
Over the next 2 – 3 months, as the dermal tissue repairs itself, the beneficial changes will continue.
